Susan:
I am a daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, schoolteacher, published author, cancer survivor and friend. As the daughter and first-born of God-fearing parents, I accepted Jesus as my Savior when I was nine years old and lived my life as expected: graduated high school, went to college and graduated, married, and had two children all the while remaining active in church.
At some point, I began to allow the world’s voices to drown out God’s voice, and I became spiritually ill. During this time when I listened to the world’s voices, I made decisions I now know were not in keeping with God’s teachings. Those decisions resulted in long and deep dire consequences for me and my family. Thankfully, God allowed the rug to be pulled out from under me, and I fell flat on my face with nowhere to look but up to God, and since then, I have spent my life in a close walk with Him.
It is my prayer and hope that the Lord will use me and my experiences to help guide other women in listening for God’s voice when the world’s voices seem to drown out His voice.
Robin:
I am a mother of three, grandmother of five, and an imperfect girl who loves Jesus and wants to give Him praise and honor for saving me. At a young age, while attending vacation Bible school, I chose to give my heart to Jesus. However, when I was in third grade, my parents divorced, and my home life became unstable and, oftentimes, entangled in domestic violence.
At 17, I sought refuge in an impetuous marriage that ultimately led to a painful divorce and single parenthood. I was living a life without much discipleship and many hardships. Then, at a very low point in my life, I met my husband of 33 years and found the value of a spiritual leader in a husband and life partner. Together, we devoted our lives to God and rooted our marriage in Him. We chose to be intentional about raising our children in a home where God came first so our children would know Him. We wanted our home to be filled with His presence during times of joy and sorrow, and if there would be occasional discord, His love would be the foundation that we fell upon to bring peace and harmony between us.
Nancy:
Thanks to my parents, I have always known and loved the Lord. I had my first personal encounter with the Lord in my early twenties, which created a hunger to experience more. But little did I know or understand, the unseen battle in my life was ramping up.
While raising two children, I spent 37 years in the corporate world. Living in the world as a lukewarm Christian, my identity soon came under attack. Ephesians 3:20 says, “Now all glory to God, who is able, through His mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or imagine.” I surrendered to Him and He delivered me. The Lord is the Master Healer and Redeemer!
I enjoy helping women walk in truth and freedom and identify their spiritual giftings. I am driven to help women understand that Jesus came to set the captives free. It was completed through the Cross and His Resurrection. The Lord has designed every one of us for a purpose and given us special gifts meant to be used for His Kingdom. We have been equipped and were born for such a time as this!I am a wife of 38 years; I have two children and two grandchildren. I am the youngest of 9. I am a sister, aunt, friend, and prayer warrior. I love our country, great conversation, music, nature, plants, and pollinator gardening.
