In John 13, Jesus spent His final hours before the cross not delivering a grand speech, but kneeling down to wash His disciples' feet. In the culture of that time, foot-washing was the lowest task imaginable, reserved for the most humble servant in a household. By taking that posture, Jesus redefined what greatness looks like for every follower of His. He made it clear that belonging to Him means allowing Him to serve us, and then turning around and doing the same for others. Serving others is not simply a nice addition to the Christian life. It is one of the primary ways believers grow deeper in their relationship with Christ and reflect His character to the world. God has given every believer spiritual gifts, and those gifts are meant to be poured out in service to others. The invitation is simple: pick up the towel.
