Trust and Surrender

Devotional

Sometimes our greatest barrier to experiencing God's love fully is our tendency to rely on our own understanding. We try to figure everything out, control our circumstances, and hold onto what we think we need. But true freedom comes when we learn to trust God completely and surrender our ways to His wisdom. Like Mary who poured out her expensive perfume in worship, we're called to release our grip on what we value most and trust God's path for our lives. When we do this, we discover that His ways are always better than our own.

Bible Verse

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. - Proverbs 3:5-7

Reflection Question

What are you holding onto tightly that God might be asking you to surrender to Him?

Quote Trust the Lord with all of your heart. Don't depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all that you do, and he will show you which path to take.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, help me to trust You more than my own understanding. Give me the courage to surrender everything to You, knowing that Your ways are higher than mine. Guide my path according to Your perfect will. Amen.
