Today’s Message

Today’s message focuses on Maundy Thursday and the Last Supper, the final meal Jesus shared with His disciples before His crucifixion. Luke records that Jesus expressed a deep and fervent desire to eat this Passover meal with them. Knowing what was ahead—betrayal, denial, suffering, and death—Jesus still chose to gather with those He loved.

This meal was not accidental or routine. Jesus intentionally used this moment to prepare His disciples for what was coming and to reveal the depth of His love. During the meal, He redefined the Passover by identifying the bread as His body and the cup as His blood, pointing to the sacrifice He was about to make.

Even as Jesus acknowledged the reality of betrayal among His closest followers, His love did not waver. Maundy Thursday reminds us that Jesus entered His suffering willingly, motivated by love and obedience to the Father.
