Welcome back to another day of 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting.
Throughout these 21 days, we’ve been reflecting on how God provides — and today’s story reminds us that He provides in abundance.
In Matthew 14, Jesus is teaching a massive crowd — more than five thousand men, plus women and children. As the day goes on, the disciples start to worry. It’s getting late, and everyone’s hungry. They tell Jesus, “Send the people away so they can buy food.”
But Jesus replies:
“They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.” — Matthew 14:16
The disciples look at what they have — just five loaves and two fish — and say, “That’s all we’ve got.”
But Jesus takes what they bring, gives thanks, breaks it, and begins to multiply it.
Everyone eats until they’re full, and there are twelve baskets of leftovers.
The disciples saw not enough.
But Jesus saw more than enough.
That’s how God works.
He doesn’t ask for what we don’t have — He asks for what we do have.
It might seem small, but when we place it in His hands, it becomes more than enough.
This story reminds us that:
All of us experience moments when we feel like what we have isn’t enough — not enough time, not enough strength, not enough faith. But this passage reminds us that God’s provision is never limited by what we lack.
When we offer what we have — even if it feels small — God meets us there with peace, strength, and provision that goes beyond our expectations.
Whatever your need is today — financial, emotional, or spiritual — remember this:
God can take your “not enough” and turn it into “more than enough.”
Trust Him with what’s in your hands, and watch what He can do.
Where in your life do you feel like you don’t have enough — time, strength, resources, or faith?
Offer that to God today.
Trust that even when your hands feel empty, His never are.
God isn’t limited by your lack — He’s revealed through your surrender.
Father, thank You that You are a faithful provider.
Help us to trust You with what we have, even when it feels small.
Remind us that in Your hands, there is always more than enough.
Give us peace in the waiting and faith to believe You will provide for what’s ahead.
We rest in Your abundance and thank You for Your grace.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
