Today we’re focusing on a part of faith that stretches all of us — waiting.
Waiting is rarely comfortable. It confronts our desire for control, tests our patience, and brings our fears and questions to the surface.
But throughout Scripture, waiting is never wasted. It is often the very place where God does His deepest work in us.
Lamentations 3:22–24 gives us this powerful reminder:
“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,
for His compassions never fail.
They are new every morning;
great is Your faithfulness.
I say to myself, ‘The Lord is my portion;
therefore I will wait for Him.’”
These verses were written in a time of heartbreak and national devastation.
Yet even in the middle of deep pain, Jeremiah declares:
“I will wait for Him.”
Why?
Because God’s compassion never fails.
Because His mercies restart every single morning.
Because His faithfulness is not based on how we feel — but on who He is.
When we wait on God, we are not standing still; we are standing with Him.
And in that waiting:
If you’re in a waiting season today — waiting for provision, healing, direction, restoration, or clarity — remember this:
Waiting is not a pause in God’s plan. It is part of God’s plan.
He is working in ways you cannot see, arranging what you cannot comprehend, and preparing what you cannot yet imagine.
Today, shift your posture from worry to worship.
Instead of asking,
“God, when will this change?”
try praying,
“God, thank You for what You’re preparing. Help me trust You while I wait.”
Write down one thing you’re waiting for, and beneath it, write:
“Great is Your faithfulness.”
Lord, thank You that Your faithfulness does not run out and Your mercies are new every morning.
Teach us to wait with hope, not frustration.
Help us trust that Your timing is perfect — even when it stretches us.
Give us peace in the waiting, confidence in Your character, and strength to keep our eyes on You.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
