Devotional
The people we surround ourselves with have a profound impact on our ability to walk in God's favor. Just as a garden needs the right environment to flourish, our faith needs nurturing relationships to grow. When we consistently expose ourselves to negativity and doubt, it becomes increasingly difficult to maintain the faith necessary for God's favor to flow. Instead, we need to intentionally cultivate relationships with people who encourage our faith, challenge us to grow, and remind us of God's faithfulness. These connections become channels through which God's favor can flow more freely in our lives.
Bible Verse
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. - Genesis 1:1
Reflection Question
How do the people closest to you influence your faith and expectation of God's favor?
Quote If you want the favor of God, you can't listen to people that don't have favor of God in their lives. You can't listen to negative, chronic people who have a tight circle of bitterness and anger and fear and negativity.
Prayer
Father, give me wisdom to choose relationships that strengthen my faith. Help me be a source of encouragement to others while maintaining healthy boundaries. In Jesus' name, Amen.
